| The carburation has been set-up for standard use. It will be affected by
the elevation at which the motorcycle runs. One can vary the richness of the mixture by
increasing or decreasing the air or gas mixture by adjusting these
screws. The choke is
only necessary for starting when the motor is cold. |
With the motorcycle supported on a stand so that the rear wheel is
elevated off the ground, the chain should have 3cm of free play between the tensioner and
the swingarm. The open end of the master link clip should be placed opposite of the
rotation of the rear wheel. |
| After any operation in which one may have had to loosen the axle of the
rear wheel, you must make sure to center and align the rear wheel so that the wheel and
chain alignment are straight and true. |
Cleaning the brake pads and disk on regular basis may extend the life of
the pads. Care should be taken when using lubricants around the pads. Any lubricant in
contact with the pads or the brake disk will affect proper working of the braking systems. |
| The life of the chain depends on the treatment it
receives. Its exposure
to all types of materials and constant friction necessitates a special
care. Its cleaning
and oiling should be very frequent. |
Depending on the person using the motorcycle, the clutch lever position
may be adjusted for proper fi nger positioning. Make sure you only adjust out the free
play in the lever. Never use this adjustment to compress the hydraulic
piston. |

| The rear suspension linkage should be removed and cleaned on a periodic
basis to reduce wear and tear. |
The front brake lever should be in a position which fits the rider's hand
and can be pulled with ease. Adjust free play to 15mm. At the same time, clean and grease
the throttle tube. |
| You should clean the air filter element on a regular basis using a soap
and water mixture. Once dried, you should use the recommended air filter oil on the
element. |
It is recommended that the throttle cable have a very little
play. This
is adjusted at the factory, but in case of replacement of the throttle
cable, the sizes of
the cable and casing can be slitghly different depending on the make. The adjustment of
the throttle cable is located at the top of the carburetor. |
| It is important to keep the throttle assembly clean and grease it to
prevent irregular action. |
The coloring of the spark plug will let you know if the motor has
attained correct combustion. It is for that reason that it should always be in perfect
condition and correctly gapped between the electrode and the arc according to the
recommendations of the manufacturer. |
| Once you replaced the oil drain plug, refill the crankcase with the cycle
tilted a little and, if possible, with the help of a funnel. It is important to use the
type and quantity of lubricant the manufacturer recommends. |
To maintain the maximum smoothness of the clutch lever, always keep it
clean and well lubricated. The reservoir has a small peephole to check the fluid level. |

| To get the filler cap for the radiator, you must first remove the fuel
tank then the bracket supporting the electronic components. Your engine should be cold for
this procedure. To get the filler cap for the radiator, you must first remove the fuel

To empty the motor oil, you must loosen one of the screws of the oil pan
-indicated in the photograph that is found just above the hole of the crank case or skid
pan. |

| Depending on the type of terrain, the tire pressure may vary. Tubeless
tires (those without inner tubes) may operate with very low pressure although it is not
recommended to be less than 0.35 kg. |
To reach the oil reservoir for the rear brake, it is necessary to first
remove the rear fender then the airbox. The oil reservoir is located next to the air box.
It is recommended to check the fluid level of the oil reservoir each time you change your
air filter. |
| If the action of your brakes become soft you may have air in the system,
and need to bleed them. In this case you must add oil to the reservoir while bleeding
fluid from the bleed screw using a pumping action on the brake lever until all the air is
removed from the system. |
Depending on your weight, you may adjust the tension of the spring on the
rear shock. The hydraulic action of the shock will remain unchanged with this adjustment. |
